The people we work with really have a massive impact on the quality of our schemes. That’s why we select our consultants and advisors with thought and care. We’re on a quest for something special and it’s our aim to ensure that all of our customers get the very best.

Whether it’s for Student Loans Company, Darlington Borough Council or Capita we’re looking for ways to ensure they get the things they want and need, when they want and need them. It’s really true that when we work in partnership with our customers, the results are pretty amazing.

Take our award-winning development Lingfield Point in Darlington. Nearly all of our customers worked in partnership with our consultant team, the result being they got amazing buildings fitted out exactly to their own specifications – and they got them fast.

This year the Student Loans Company building, Memphis at Lingfield Point, won the British Council for Offices Best  Recycled Workplace, Northern Region and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors North East Renaissance awards Best Commercial Development. In 2004 Marchday also won the national RICS Property Management award for our creative management of Lingfield Point. This fast growing list of industry awards is testimony to the fact that we really are trying hard to create great quality in our buildings and our customer experiences.

Working in this way requires a lot of trust on both sides and that’s where we go back to the start: by carefully choosing who we do business with and then doing that business really well, we as property owners and our customers end up with great outcomes. And we’re constantly on the look out for how we can continue to improve what we offer to those who work with us.

We’ve also carried out a number of joint ventures with other like minded property companies. Two good examples are Holborn Gate in London and Paramount in Swindon. Holborn Gate is a 150,000sqft office scheme in High Holborn which we redeveloped in partnership with Threadneedle. Paramount is a landmark building comprising 200 high end apartments in Princes St Swindon created in Partnership with Swan Hill/Raven Group. Both examples were extremely successful collaborations.
